Restaurant Review: Café Céramique

I want to write some reviews about some of the Restaurants, the Cafés and the fast food joints we have here in Muscat. Please bear with me ^_^

If you have a weekend with the family and you want a nice place to eat and relax, then this is the place for you. you can have a nice meal and then afterworlds you can have a cup of coffee and read your book peacefully since your kids will busy doing their own art and have no time to bother you.

The thing that you'll love most about this place is the relax feeling to it. Café Céramique have tons of bisque-wares to choose from (bisques are the stuff you paint!) whether its a plate or a cup or your typical unique jewelry box.

I've been there few times, and I always have the time I need to finish my masterpieces, but the last time I went there I had a bus to catch in less then an hour, you can Imagine how fast I started coloring the damn thing, it just won't do, other then not having the colors I ordered coz my 'friends' kept borrowing them, my cup was HUGE, seriously, if you want to enjoy a nice meal and paint afterworlds then you'll need at least three hours or so.

I never dined there but I tried their beverages and their sweets and they were good. Its me, of course you're getting photos.

Nice! they paint their Hot Chocolate too! ahm... It's a joke you guys.

The piece of art, the Chocolate fondant. It's really tasty but after you eat it you want to drink some water or something, I never thought I'd say this, but it's too Chocolatey for my liking. >.<

Apple Pie. well, I don't like apple pies, but my friends liked it, don't take it from me though.

Now for the Art!

they give you this. you have to write the color numbers in that little paper, then you have to soak that sponge with water and then wet your piece with water, after that you're set to go wild with you imagination.

My before and after:

Before!

After! don't ask me about that green thing, I have no Idea... -_-

And you have to wait for the last result. I'll post it whenever I get my hands on it.

If you never tried this kinda thing before then you have to, grab a friend or two and go for it.

9.5/10 ^_^

The Box of Wonder!

You know the feeling when you lose something suddenly without the opportunity to get it through you head first, the feeling that strikes and hurts, I hate it, it keeps me thinking of hours, it doesn't matter if it a person or something else, I get so attached to my stuff that I can' t let go easily, throwing my school books after the end of the year used to be a hard thing to do, with all the stupid comments inside and all. anything that holds a memory is so hard to get rid off.

What got me thinking is a box full of my books, papers and other stuff, it was mistakenly sent to the house of a friend of mine, well, my mom sent it there cause she thought it was hers, there was this paper with her name on it and that was all what mom needed to send it away. anyways, so it stayed there for quite some time, and when I went to visit her few days back I asked for it, and all I got was "Oh! that box, the maids throw it away." so I'm standing there staring at the wall waiting to be told thats its a mean joke, but it wasn't.

I get it, they are remodeling their house and stuff like this happens, so you asked the maids not to and they thought it was rubbish and they throw it away.

You know what I think is rubbish, it's the way you take care of things that are not yours, If it was me, I would take the thing thats yours and put it somewhere safe, not next to the boxes that were meant to be thrown away, yes, you heard me, my box was next to the boxes that were supposedly left there to be thrown away.

listen to this "we told them not to throw this one, it was heavy and all but when I came I didn't find it." that was the hint, (IT WAS HEAVY) what the fuck you're talking about? and please note that I received no apology for this mistake.

It's not what inside that box that is making me angry, it's the way she is dealing with it, I would die of embarrassment if this happened to me and I'll apologies at least 10 times over and over again, not only that but I'll try to replace the things that were important inside the box.

Oh yeah! there was this other thing she said, I told her that I dislocated something important and was hoping to find it in that box, all she said was "Smart one aren't ya, why would you put something like that inside a box?" you heard it, it's my fault.

So I was wondering, what would other people do if they were in my place? The only thing I did was looking as if someone just told me that Sophie is missing or that my laptop is broken. you know, like I'm panicking but politely, can you do that? panic politely.

Video Game Review: The Sims 3

Few days ago I got the Sims 3 game, everyone knows Sims, if you don't then you are a bear sleeping in a cave or something. If you don't then check it out here.

anyways, I started playing, and since my laptop is crammed with Anime, Movies and Music I had to kinda clean my hard drives and do some moving around and arranging.

If you have a XP windows like me, then its doable but is kinda slow specially with high quality enabled. If you have Vista then it will be faster and no stupid freezes. If your computer or laptop is older then that, then don't bother buying the damn game. (it all depends on how much space your computer has on the hard drive, the more the better)

Okay, now lets get to why would you want to play the Sims 3, if you have an empty life and have 18 Rials to spare, then go for it.

It takes more time to build your Sim and creating it then any other Sims I have tried (and I have tried a lot of them) you don't have to be related to the Sim you're living with in this one, you can have a teenager and an adult living under the same roof with no relation between them what so ever, unless your sick perverted mind tells you otherwise.

The building and buying mode is what I like most, you get to do it all, not only the things you get to buy are more realistic then the other games, you can choose the material too, you can have a stone fridge and a metal chair, how cool is that? and you can have accessories that do nothing but look good, like kitchenwares and magazines stands for the bathroom.

YOU CAN WALK AROUND, yes you can walk, run, jog, ride a bike, get a taxi, and you can just drive your CAR! yes, you can own a car, not much hot cars though, but nice classy ones.

You have a blackberry or a cellphone that looks like one, you can call anyone just like using the phone, but you would like to silent that when you go to sleep.

Relationships,in this game it's harder then any other Sims games to have many friends, the Sims here are hard to know and hard to be friends with. Jobs are harder to handle too, you don't get promoted as faster.

overall I give the Sims 3 a nice 7.5/10 for the hard work they've done. but honestly, with all those years they could've done better.

Sophie under the bed!

I was thinking of sharing a picture of Sophie for quite some time now,,,

Here we go ^_^

You can see her snooping around my stuff under the bed! bad Sophie bad! come!

We didn't go out this time!

Like always, we're so exited for Eid that we ended up sleeping at 3 AM, and guess what? We woke up at 7 AM, you do the math.

Anyways, we're up got our things and dressed up and everything, that's when my cousin called and said that he needed us to go pick him up… he lives far, 20 minutes drive. Okay, it's not far, but I just want to get this Eid done with and a 20 minutes drive is not what I want with this heavy dress on!

Snap, Snap and Snap! I know, I'm enjoying this too much…

So the Eid day was kind of boring this time, not much Eidia (1) too!

The guests snack!

After lunch we went to McDonald's coz a cousin we have does not like to eat meat with rice, which is the Eid lunch every year.

After that we just hang around, I played a little Wii, didn't have the camera with me then so no snaps this time.

We didn't go out this time, so I just went home, my other cousins were there, so we hung around and then we ordered food coz my family was out visiting their relatives…

(1) Eidia = money people give as a sign of celebrating the Eid.
